Samsung has confirmed that its new flagship Galaxy S5 will go on sale on April 5.
The Galaxy S7 is slated for a similar date.
The S6 and S6 edge have been announced earlier this month.
In a statement, Samsung says that it’s now fully aware of the impact the new year could have on the Galaxy line.
The statement says:The company is also preparing for the arrival of the S7 and S7 edge.
The company is now working to mitigate the impact of the new-year and is looking into further changes to the operating system and firmware, as well as making the device compatible with the upcoming Galaxy S8 and S8+ models.

The remaining phones in the Galaxy lineup will all be sold at a discount.
The Galaxy S series has been a cornerstone of Samsung’s long-term strategy.
The Korean company was acquired by US conglomerate Samsung in 2010, and it has since sold millions of devices, including smartphones, tablets, cameras, and TVs.
The S series will be the company’s most significant foray into the premium smartphone market since the S series launched in 2012, when it launched the Galaxy S3.
