The US is expected to pay for an iPhone 7 at the beginning of the year, according to a new report.iPhone 7s is expected on the shelves for $649, which would be a significant discount compared to Apple’s usual $699 price point.
But that discount is only on top of the standard contract that covers the iPhone and Apple Watch, according Toomim CEO Andras Hargitay.
“I think we’re going to see a significant reduction in the price of the iPhone,” he told The Wall Street Journal.
The iPhone 7 will be cheaper than the iPhone 6s, 6s Plus and 5s.
The first iPhone 7s will be available to buy in the US starting October 21, and the first iPhone 8 will be released to the public in late October, according the report.
Hargitays comments come as US President Donald Trump takes the stage to address the American people, which will include a call with a member of the military.
In his speech, Trump will discuss the latest in technology, healthcare and the economy, according a White House press release.
He will also discuss the threat posed by the Islamic State group, and he will pledge to protect the US from cyberattacks.
